New Community Information: Edison Elementary Celebrates 100 Years in Historic Building — Edison Elementary School is proud to announce its 100-year anniversary celebration, to take place on Friday, Sept. 19 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the school campus. This exciting milestone marks more than a century of learning, community, and tradition in the heart of Northwest Denver. Open to all current and future students, alumni, staff, families, and community members, the event will be held in an open house format, offering something for everyone: whether you’re walking down memory lane or discovering the school’s rich history for the first time. Come reconnect with old friends, celebrate our shared legacy, and help plant the seeds for the next 100 years. ELC Sports Fall Coaches: Be a Coach. Inspire a Team. Change a Life. Teachers, staff, parents, and community members (18+) who are passionate about supporting 4 and 5 grade students, and have experience with soccer or flag football are welcome to apply. Pay: Starting at $20.75/hour, includes compensation for meetings, planning, practices, and games. Paid for 45 total hours of work for the season. We have two Spirit Rocks available for rental, one on the 1st-5th grade playground and one on the kindergarten/ECE playground. You get to paint your own personal message (simply paint over the previous week’s design!) Spirit Rocks are available for rental Monday-Friday and painting will occur on the weekends.
