Fundraising All Week! (February 8th to 14th)
The DCIS Fun Run is an annual critical fundraiser vitally important for our school to maintain our programming for specials and support our teachers in making field trips and overnights more accessible. Especially this year in a time of such cuts to school budgets!
Our goal is to raise $50,000 and have 100% participation! If every student at DCIS at Fairmont raised $150 for the Fun Run, we will meet our goal!
No matter how big or small the donation, every dollar helps. And the number one reason a person donates to a cause…is because they were asked. Helping your student reach the $150 fundraising goal can be easier than you think! Here are a few suggestions:
Make a donation to support your child(ren).
Ask your entire network for a donation – you might just be surprised by who says yes! Send emails, text friends and family and post the fundraising link on Facebook.
Request an employer match – many employers will make a tax-deductible matching donation for their employee’s donations.
Hold a yard sale and donate the proceeds to your student’s class.
Event Schedule
Parents are invited to come and cheer on their students! The 2nd-5th graders will begin to walk down to Dailey Park at 9:00. Our young students will head out to our track corners at 9:00 to stretch and see their team location. All corners are marked with colored balloons and each runner will receive a matching bracelet to record their laps and help keep us organized. The older kids are usually walking back to the school by 10:00 and the younger kids are finished at the school by 9:45 am.
Prizes
In addition to supporting our specials program, students and classes can earn fun prizes for their fundraising efforts! Prizes are only as a class or as a school because at DCIS at Fairmont we are in this together!! Prize levels include:
Classroom prizes: Each class has a differentiated class goal based on their class size. When they reach benchmarks in the fundraising, they all share in the prizes!
